LEXINGTON, Ky. - The American
Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce the Inaugural AVCA
High School Senior All-America Teams for girls’ volleyball.
Each state in the country was given representation
by a delegate high school coach, then put into one of 10 regions. Each state
representative ranked the nominated players in his/her region, and sent those
rankings to the chairperson of his/her region. Each region was represented on
the AVCA High School Senior All-America Committee, who then chose the
All-America Team based upon the rankings of the state representatives, extensive
research conducted by the members of the committee, as well
as dialogue between the committee members. Only players in their high school
senior season, whose head coaches are AVCA members, are eligible for nomination.
