Brenda Brown
Head Coach, Elizabeth City State University

AVCA: Who or what has made you want to pursue coaching?
Brenda Brown: Having a love for the game of volleyball has made me want to pursue coaching. When you have a passion for something, you tend to want to share it with others. I also want to be a positive role model and support my players by seeing them walk across the stage!

AVCA: Who or what has been your biggest coaching influence?
BB: Two of my mentors, Linda Bell and Ingrid Wicker-McCree have been my biggest influences. They both are very supportive, honest, and they always provide me with much needed feedback to better enhance my coaching.

AVCA: Please list your past ad present coaching/playing experiences:
NCCU Volleyball (2002-2005)
Jammers Volleyball 14's Club Coach (2008)
ECSU Head Women's Volleyball Coach (Current)

AVCA: What are you most looking forward to at the 2011 AVCA Annual Convention?
BB: I am ecstatic about attending the 2011 AVCA Convention itself and the seminars! I am looking forward to networking with fellow coaches, gaining more knowledge of the game of volleyball and attending the Championship match! I am also looking forward to being in San Antonio!
