Katie Gangelhoff, a senior setter for fifth-ranked Minnesota Duluth, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week. Gangelhoff helped lead the Bulldogs to a 4-1 record this past weekend at the Washburn Lady Blues Classic, where she was named to the All-Tournament team. Two of the four wins came against Top 25 teams, No. 13 North Alabama and No. 25 Southwest Minnesota State. Her match-high in assists for the week was an impressive 65 in a sweep of Emporia State.  Her team's highest hitting percentage during the week was the .513 they posted against Southwest Minnesota State.  In Minnesota-Duluth's five matches this weekend, Gangelhoff averaged 15.0 assists per game, while leading her team to a .314 hitting percentage.  Gangelhoff is the sixth Minnesota Duluth Bulldog to win the Sports Imports/AVCA National award.  Minnesota Duluth is coached by Jim Boos.
