Nicole Schwab, a middle blocker from Fort Lewis College, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week.  Schwab led the Skyhawks to a 3-1 record during the week, including an upset of #18 Seattle Pacific.  Their 8-1 overall record is the team's best start since 1988.  For the week, Schwab landed 84 kills for an average of almost five a game and hit .337, while chipping in 24 blocks and 15 digs.  In the upset of Seattle Pacific, she put away 11 kills, and had an impressive attack percentage of .526.  Her high for the week in kills came against Montana State-Billings with 28, and her .526 percentage was her best of the week.  Schwab is the second Skyhawk to ever receive the Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week honor, and the first since 1994.  The Fort Lewis head coach is Shelly Aaland.
