Becky Haug, a 6-0 senior middle blocker for 17th-ranked Central Missouri State University (17-7, 8-3 MIAA), has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week. She led the Jennies to a 3-0 record last week, including a sweep of top-ranked Truman. Haug averaged 5.55 points, 4.36 kills, 1.18 blocks, 0.36 aces and 0.45 digs per game while hitting .412 for the week. She tallied 11 kills, seven blocks and two aces in the victory over Truman. Haug hit .514 in a four-game victory over Missouri Western with 22 kills, four blocks and an ace. She hit .419 with 15 kills and two blocks in a four-game win over Northwest Missouri State. Haug averages 4.46 points, 3.66 kills, 1.18 blocks and 0.24 digs per game this season while hitting .333. She is the second Jenny to earn the honor this year (Kaci Young on Aug. 29) and fourth honoree overall. The Central Missouri State head coach is Peggy Martin.
