Stephanie Brink, a 6-2 sophomore outside hitter for The College of Saint Rose (8-1, 2-0 Northeast 10), has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week. She hit .540 for the week including averages of 5.05 points, 4.50 kills, 1.10 blocks and 0.50 digs per game in three victories. Brink hit .579 with 12 kills, five block assists and three digs against Saint Michael's on Sept. 17. She charted four blocks and 16 kills on .583 hitting in a three-game win over Molloy on Sept. 18. Brink finished the week with 17 kills, two blocks, two digs and a .484 attack percentage in a four-game victory over C.W. Post. She averages 4.98 points, 4.38 kills, 1.03 blocks and 0.21 digs per game this season while hitting .415. Brink is the first Golden Knight to receive the national honor. The College of Saint Rose head coach is Brian Goodale.
