Ashley Holt, a 6-1 sophomore outside hitter for 17th-ranked Fort Hays State University (10-1, 2-0 NCC), has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week after leading the Tigers to three victories in three games last weekend, including two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference road contests. Holt chalked up 15 kills and 14 digs while hitting .565 versus non-conference foe Emporia State. She produced her second double-double of the week with 11 kills, 10 digs and three blocks versus Colorado Christian while hitting .409. Holt finished the week hitting .350 with nine kills, three aces, 11 digs and five blocks versus 21st-ranked Metro State. She averaged 3.89 kills, 3.89 digs, 1.22 blocks and 0.56 aces per game over the week while hitting .446. Holt is the first Tiger to win the national award in school history.
