Greta Iisakka, a 5-9 senior setter for seventh-ranked University of Minnesota Duluth (5-1 0-0 NCC), has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week after leading the Bulldogs to four victories over nationally ranked teams to win the Colorado Premier Challenge. Iisakka helped UMD defeat then-13th-ranked Central Missouri State and then-21st-ranked St. Edward's in pool play. The Bulldogs overcame then-4th-ranked North Alabama and then-2nd-ranked UC San Diego in the championship round. Iisakka passed out 199 assists in 14 games, including 55 versus UC San Diego in the championship match. She also kicked in two kills, seven digs, one block solo and three block assists against the Tritons. Iisakka averaged 1.00 kills, 14.21 assists, 0.14 aces, 1.71 digs, 0.50 blocks and led the Bulldogs to a team hitting percentage of .275. The University of Minnesota Duluth head coach is Jim Boos.
