No. 6 Matadors Dispatch Pacific in Three

Stockton, Calif. - Isaac Kneubuhl and Kevin McKniff led the way with nine kills each, Eric Vance posted four service aces, and Cody Loe and Vance chipped in with four blocks each as Cal State Northridge (7-4, 5-3 MPSF) cruised past Pacific (1-10, 1-7 MPSF) Friday night in an MPSF matchup at Pacific.

Kneubuhl filled up the stat sheet for the Matadors, also managing seven digs and a pair of blocks. McKniff converted on nine of 12 swings and led the Matadors with a .583 attack percentage. Cody Loe continued an excellent freshman campaign with seven kills at a clip of .417. Vance's 14.5 points led the team.

Ali'i Keohohou led the way with eight digs, and Eric Vance contributed four service aces for the #6 Matadors. Travis Bluemling accumulated 28 assists in the victory.

For the Tigers, Clay Ostrander and Pekka Seppanen tallied nine kills each to help the cause. Seppanen also registered each of his squad's two service aces, and three Tigers had a team-high two blocks. Tyler D'Egidio's 14 assists paced the Tigers, who were searching for their second overall and MPSF win.

Next up for the Matadors is Stanford, who Northridge has already beaten once this season. ON January 24th in the Matadome, Northridge shocked the Cardinal with a convincing three-game sweep. The Matadors will look for a duplicate performance Saturday at 7 p.m. in Palo Alto.
