Erin Gudmundson, a 6-0 sophomore middle blocker for 12th-ranked University of Nebraska-Kearney (19-4, 10-1 RMAC), has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week after leading the Lopers to three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference sweeps. Gudmundson posted double-figure kills and hit over .609 in each of the three matches. She averaged 4.89 kills per game and 1.00 blocks per game while hitting at a .621 clip (44-3-66) and adding eight digs over the course of the week. Gudmundson tallied 15 kills versus both CSU-Pueblo and UC-Colorado Springs with .619 and .636 hitting performances, respectively. She hit an errorless .606 with 14 kills against New Mexico Highlands helping the Lopers to their ninth consecutive win. The University of Nebraska-Kearney head coach is Rick Squiers.
