Kendra Morgan, a 5-10 senior setter for ninth-ranked West Texas A&M University (4-0), has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week. Morgan led the Lady Buffs to the championship of their own tournament, as well as earned MVP honors. She tallied 178 assists over the course of 15 games for an 11.87 per game average and led WTAMU to a .249 team hitting percentage. Morgan posted a triple-double with 11 kills, 56 assists and 20 digs in a five-game defeat of then-seventh-ranked Grand Valley State. The assist effort was her 22nd outing with 50-plus assists. Morgan registered a double-double with 47 assists and 18 digs in a four-game win over Adams State earlier in the day. She finished the weekend with 54 digs (3.60 dpg), 27 kills (1.80 kpg), five blocks and three aces, in addition to a .343 hitting percentage (27-3-70). The West Texas A&M University head coach is Tony Graystone.
