USC Spartanburg's Kim PitmanKim Pitman, a 6-0 senior middle blocker for the University of South Carolina Spartanburg (20-4) has been named the AVCA/Sports Imports Division II National Player of the Week. Pitman led USCS to a 3-0 week behind solid hitting and blocking efforts. For the week she met or surpassed the 20-kill mark in each match, averaging 6.3 kills per game, as well as hitting .514 and averaging 1.3 blocks per game. Pitman pounded 22 kills, collected 12 digs and totaled nine blocks in a sweep of Presbyterian. Versus Francis Marion she attacked at a .581 clip (20-2-31) in the Lady Rifles' three-game win. She served up five aces, tallied 21 kills and corralled 11 digs in a four-game victory over UNC Pembroke. Pitman leads the Peach Belt Conference in kills per game with a 4.65 average on the season.
