Kasey Jungwirth, a 6-0 senior outside hitter from Camrillo, Calif., has been named the AVCA/Sports Imports Division II National Player of the Week award winner after leading No. 11 Cal State-Los Angeles to road sweeps over No. 7 Cal State-Bakersfield and Cal State-Stanislaus. She has been a vital part of the Golden Eagles' 10-0 start. Jungwirth averaged 5.67 kills, 2.50 digs and 0.50 blocks per game while attacking at a .347 percentage this past week. She tallied 34 kills in six games with only eight hitting errors on 75 attempts. Jungwirth produced 20 kills, 13 digs, three service aces and a .395 attack percentage versus Cal State-Bakersfield in a matchup of 1999 California Collegiate Athletic Association co-champions.
