Katie Feldkamp, a senior middle hitter from Mount St. Joseph, has been named Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week. Feldkamp earned the honor after helping lead her team to its ninth consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament title, while earning MVP honors in the Lions' three wins in the event.  In Mount St. Joseph's win over Anderson (Ind.), Feldkamp had 20 kills in 41 attempts for a .341 hitting percentage.  She added 11 digs and five blocks in the win.  In the Lions' next match against Franklin, she had 13 kills, a .500 hitting percentage and 11 digs in the victory.  In the Lions' final match of the tournament, Feldkamp had her best statistical performance, putting away 23 kills in 47 attempts for a .426 hitting percentage. She also chipped in 12 digs and five blocks in the win.  For the week, Feldkamp average 4.67 kills per game, a .409 per-game hitting percentage, 2.83 digs per game and .83 blocks per game.  Feldkamp is the first player from Mount St. Joseph to earn the Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week.  The Lions are coached by Michele Benoit.
