Lizzelle Cintron, a junior middle hitter from New Jersey City University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week.  Cintron led her team to six wins last week, including taking the championship of the FDU-Florham Devils' Classic, where she was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. In the finals of that tournament, she tallied 40 kills against Richard Stockton, a season-high for both Cintron and in Division III.  Cintron also helped the Gothic Knights to a big conference win over Rutgers-Newark, when she posted her week-high in digs with 19 to go along with 23 kills.  For the week, Cintron averaged 6.05 kills per game, hitting an incredible .498 over six matches, and added 2.67 digs and 1.19 blocks per game.  Cintron has become NJCU's all-time leader in kills among both men's and women's players. This week marks the fifth time Lizzelle Cintron has won the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week, the second time in 2006. The Gothic Knights head coach is Christopher Feliciano.
