Emilie Walk, a junior middle hitter from second-ranked Washington University in St. Louis, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week.  Walk led her team to three conference wins over the past week, including sweeps of Chicago and Case Reserve, and a five-game thriller over #15 New York University.  In the sweep of Case Reserve, Walk contributed eight kills, hitting at an outstanding .636 clip with five blocks.  In the Chicago win, Walk put away six more kills, hitting an impressive .462, adding two more blocks.  In the five-game triumph of New York, the junior landed eleven kills, hitting .333 and tallying five blocks.  For the week, Walk averaged 2.78 kills per game, hitting .438, and added 1.33 blocks per game.  Walk is the twentieth Wash U. player to receive the Sports Imports/AVCA National award.  The Bears Head Coach is Rich Luenemann.
