Darryl Manzer, a 6-2 sophomore middle blocker for Skidmore College (22-5, 0-0 Liberty), has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week after pacing the Thoroughbreds to a 4-0 record. She averaged 6.06 points, 5.00 kills, 1.62 blocks and 1.06 digs per game while hitting a combined .471 on 138 swings. Manzer hit .500 with 23 kills, six blocks and four digs versus Middlebury in Skidmore's only home match of the week. She hit .739 with 19 kills, seven blocks and three digs against Baruch. Manzer totaled 26 kills with a .524 attack percentage to go with five blocks against SUNY New Paltz. She completed her week with 12 kills, eight blocks and eight digs versus Union. She was named the Union Tournament most valuable player as Skidmore won the tournament title. Manzer is the second Thoroughbred to win the national award in school history. The Skidmore head coach is Hilda Arrechea.
