Carli Dale, a 5-6 senior setter for sixth-ranked Juniata College (7-1, 0-0 Commonwealth), has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week after pacing the Eagles to four victories, including three versus NCAA Division II opponents at the Ashland Invitational. Dale averaged 15.15 assists, 1.77 kills, 3.38 digs, 0.23 blocks and 2.23 points per game while leading Juniata to a .279 team attack percentage in 13 games. She contributed two double-doubles on the week, including 55 assists, 14 digs and five kills against Edinboro as her team hit .268. Dale added 46 assists, five kills and 10 digs against Shippensburg while her team hit a week-high .340. She just missed a triple-double versus West Virginia Wesleyan after tallying eight kills, 40 assists and nine digs. She passed the 5,000-career assist milestone and now has 5,044 overall. Dale also won the award on Oct. 13, 2003, marking the ninth time the Eagles have been selected for the national award. The Juniata head coach is Larry Bock.
