Lizzelle Cintron, a 5-9 freshman middle blocker for New Jersey City University (2-1, Independent), has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week after helping the Gothic Knights to a 2-1 weekend. Cintron led NJCU to victories over St. Joseph's (N.Y.) and Centenary. She amassed a career-high 32 kills and 30 digs in a four-game victory over St. Joseph's. Cintron hit .481 in the match with just six errors on 54 attempts and added four block solos and one block assist. She tallied 25 kills, two aces, eight digs and two block solos in a sweep over Centenary while hitting .378 with eight errors on 45 attempts. Cintron averaged 7.20 kills, 0.60 aces, 5.60 digs, 0.90 blocks and 8.65 points per game while hitting .390 on the weekend.  The New Jersey City University head coach is Christopher Feliciano.
