Jelyn Meyer, a 6-3 senior middle blocker for Haverford College (6-2), has been selected the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week for leading her squad to a 4-0 record. The Fords went undefeated in three matches at the Sewanee Quad this past weekend, where Meyer posted two double-doubles with 20 kills and 19 digs in a four-game win over Huntingdon (Ala.) and 10 of each in a sweep of host Sewanee. She completed the weekend with nine digs, two aces and a .438 hitting effort on nine kills, two errors and 16 attempts, in a sweep of Tennessee Temple. Meyer started the week with 19 kills, six digs, five blocks and a .581 hitting percentage (19-1-31) to lead the Fords to a 3-1 win over Widener. She averaged 4.13 kills, 3.14 digs, .71 blocks and hit .463 (58-8-108) over the course of 14 games. The Haverford College head coach is Amy Bergin.
