Jaymie Johnson, a 6-1 junior middle hitter, landed the AVCA/Sports Imports Division III National Player of Week award after earning a spot on the Central College all-tournament team. She chalked up 4.1 kills, 0.5 service aces, 3.41 digs and 0.92 blocks per game. Central, which set an NCAA all-division record for consecutive wins (60) by defeating Gustavus Adolphus in three games to start the tournament, bounced back from a four-game loss to No. 4 Washington to beat No. 5 Wisconsin-River Falls and St. Olaf in three games each. Johnson tallied a season-high 18 kills and 17 digs in the loss to Washington, then tacked on 13 kills and a .524 hitting percentage versus Wisconsin-River Falls. She finished the tournament with a 16-kill, 14-dig, three-block performance against previously unbeaten St. Olaf.
