John Colosi, a right side/opposite hitter for No. 10 D'Youville College, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III Men's National Player of the Week. Colosi started the week off with a 20-kill, seven-dig outing in the Spartan's four-game win over Division II opponent Mercyhurst. Against Villa Julie in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Tournament, he scored 13 kills in 17 attempts with only one error for a .706 hitting percentage, chipping in five digs and two total blocks in the victory. In the tournament semifinals, Colosi had four kills, two digs and three total blocks in a 3-0 win over Bard.  He followed that up with a seven-kill, nine-dig, three total block performance in a sweep of Philadelphia Biblical in the finals, giving D'Youville their third-straight NEAC Championship. To complete the week, Colosi registered 28 kills, 13 digs and five total blocks in a five-game marathon win over No. 9 Eastern Mennonite. For the week, Colosi averaged four kills, two digs and .72 blocks per game and a .338 hitting percentage for the Spartans. Colosi's honor marks the ninth time a D'Youville player has been named Sports Imports/AVCA Division III Men's National Player of the Week, and the second one this year, as Clinton Gilliland earned the honor in January. D'Youville is coached by John Hutton.
