Scott Stoner, a 6-2 outside hitter from the No. 6 Stevens Institute of Technology, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III Men's National Player of the Week.  Stoner led Stevens to three sweeps last week, including one win over a fellow ranked team, No. 13 Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE).  In the first match of the week, a win over NECVA Metro foe Yeshiva, Stoner notched three kills in four attempts in only one game, hitting .750, while adding two digs.  Later in the week, in another NECVA Metro showdown, this time against Ramapo, he landed 12 kills in 22 attempts, a .500 percentage, adding five digs and two total blocks.  In his best match of the week, against No. 13 MSOE, Stoner tallied 15 kills in 25 attempts, a .560 percentage, adding eight digs and three total blocks.  For the week, the senior Duck averaged 4.28 kills, 2.14 digs and .7 blocks per game, while hitting a very impressive .549.  Scott Stoner is the second men's volleyball player from Stevens to win the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III Men's National Player of the Week honor; Andrew Cranford won the award January 30, 2006.  The Ducks are coached by Patrick Dorywalski.
