Jack Delehanty, a 6-4 senior setter for 10th-ranked Roger Williams University (3-1, 1-0 EIVA Sweeney), has been selected the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III Men's National Player of the Week. Delehanty was named to the all-tournament team after leading the Hawks to a 3-1 record and finishing runner-up to Division II Lees-McRae at the Vassar College Invitational. RWU fell to LRC 15-12 in the fifth game, where Delehanty registered his first triple-double of 2004 with 53 assists, 11 digs and 10 blocks. He added seven kills and no errors on 10 swings for a .700 hitting percentage. He helped RWU to its first-ever regular season victory over fifth-ranked Vassar followed by a four-game victory against LIU-Southampton en route to the title match. The Hawks opened the week with a 3-2 win over Endicott. Delehanty averaged 10.53 assists, 1.29 blocks, 1.24 digs and 1.12 kills over the course of the 17 games.
