Beau Warren, a 6-2 junior setter/outside hitter for seventh-ranked SUNY New Paltz (17-15 overall, 3-5 EIVA), has been named the AVCA/Sports Imports Division III National Player of the Week after guiding the Hawks to a 3-1 record. Warren, who had three triple-doubles in four matches, averaged 2.33 kills, 5.29 assists, 0.94 blocks, 2.78 digs and 0.28 aces over the course of 15 games. He tallied 11 kills, 11 assists and 10 digs in a three-game loss to No. 5 Vassar while hitting .474 for the match. Warren tacked on his second triple-double of the week against East Stroudsburg with 13 kills, 19 assists and 11 digs in a five-game victory. He helped the Hawks to a 3-0 win over No. 10 Lehman with nine kills, 20 assists, eight digs and five blocks. Warren produced 19 kills, 20 assists, 10 digs and a .429 hitting percentage against New Jersey City. He also won the AVCA/Sports Imports National Player of the Week on Feb. 18 of this year.
