Marc Honore, a 6-6 senior middle blocker for Saint Francis University (Pa.) has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I-II Men's National Player of the Week for his outstanding play last week against Rutgers-Newark and George Mason. Against the Scarlet Raiders, Honore knocked down 18 kills, committing only one error for a .773 hitting percentage, while also scoring seven aces and five total blocks in the three-game sweep. He followed that up with a 21-kill, .643-hitting performance in a 3-1 win over George Mason. He also added two aces and six total blocks in the victory. For the week, Honore averaged 5.57 kills, a .700 hitting percentage, 1.29 aces and 1.57 blocks per game. This is only the second time that a men's volleyball player from Saint Francis (Pa.) has earned the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I-II Player of the Week award; Honore also won the award on February 27, 2006.
