Aaron Harrell, a 6-5 middle blocker for then-No. 3 (tied) UC Irvine, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I-II Men's National Player of the Week.  Harrell helped get the Anteaters (15-3, 9-3 MPSF) back to their winning ways, leading them to three last week, including a sweep of then-No. 11 Pacific, a team that had beaten them earlier in the season.  Harrell opened his week of play by helping UC Irvine to a sweep of Division III, second-ranked UC Santa Cruz.  In the match, Harrell had a .714 hitting percentage on five kills and zero errors.  He also had three total blocks in the match.  He followed that up with nine kills, one error, a .571 hitting percentage and four total blocks in the Anteaters' 3-0 win over Stanford.  Harrell finished the week with six kills, one error, a .417 hitting percentage, two aces, and seven total blocks in UC Irvine's win over Pacific.  For the week, Harrell averaged a .545 hitting percentage on 2.22 kills per game and a total of only two errors in all three matches.  He also averaged 1.56 total blocks per game.  Harrell is the seventh men's volleyball player from UC Irvine to be named Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week, and the second in 2007 (Jayson Jablonsky on Jan. 22).  The Anteaters are coached by John Speraw.
