Jonathan Winder, a 6-8 setter for then-No.4 Pepperdine University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I-II Men's National Player of the Week.  Winder led the Waves to two road wins over fellow teams in the top 10 of the CSTV/AVCA Division I-II Men's Top 15 Coaches Poll.  In their first match of the week, at then-No. 6 Cal State Northridge, Winder recorded his first career triple-double.  In the five-game match against the Matadors, he posted 63 assists, a career-high 14 digs and a career-high 13 blocks.  In the Waves' weekend sweep of then-No. 3 UC Santa Barbara, Winder tallied 43 assists, while leading his team to a very impressive .455 hitting percentage.  He also added four blocks and a season-best three aces.  For the week, Winder averaged 13.25 assists, 1.88 digs and 2.12 blocks per game, while setting his team to a .318 hitting percentage.  Pepperdine is now 7-1 on the season, and 6-1 in the MPSF.  This marks the second time Jonathan Winder has been honored as Sports Imports/AVCA Division I-II Men's National Player of the Week, the first coming March 14 of 2005.  This also marks the fifteenth time overall a Pepperdine men's volleyball player has received the honor.  The head coach of the Waves is Marv Dunphy.
