Brandon Sisk, a 6-3 sophomore setter for 14th-ranked Lewis University (15-11, 10-3 MIVA), has been chosen the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I-II Men's National Player of the Week. Sisk led the Flyers to their seventh win in eight matches, including a victory over conference-leading and 11th-ranked Ball State University. He opened the week with 38 assists (12.67 per game) in a sweep of Quincy. He added three blocks, two kills and two digs while guiding Lewis to a .402 team hitting percentage. In the 3-1 win over BSU, Sisk tallied 49 assists (12.25 per game), six digs and six blocks, adding five kills with no errors on six attempts. He averaged 12.43 assists, 1.29 blocks, 1.14 digs and 1.00 kill per game, while hitting .875 for the week. Lewis University has now won six straight MIVA matches and is coached by Dave Deuser.
