Cameron Mount, a 6-8 junior outside hitter for top-ranked UCLA (11-1), has been named the AVCA/Sports Imports Division I-II National Player of the Week for leading the Bruins to a 2-0 record last week. Mount averaged 3.63 kills, 0.75 blocks and 1.75 digs per game for UCLA. He contributed a .392 attack percentage on 51 attempts over eight games. He tallied 21 kills, a .371 attack percentage, nine digs and two blocks in a five-game victory to help the Bruins avenge their only loss of the season to second-ranked Pepperdine. Mount charted eight kills, five digs and four blocks against city-rival USC in a three-game victory. UCLA's win over USC gave the Bruins the 25th Annual Kilgour Cup. UCLA has won nine straight matches and is one of two unbeaten team in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation league play.
