Brook Billings, a 6-5 senior outside hitter for the University of Southern California (6-22, 3-19 MPSF), has been tabbed the AVCA/Sports Imports Division I/II National Player of the Week after leading his team to a 1-1 split last week. Billings averaged 8.28 kills (.484 hitting percentage), 1.86 digs and 0.57 blocks in seven games. He totaled 22 kills on a .514 hitting percentage, six digs and two blocks in a three-game loss to No. 7 Stanford. Billings contributed 36 kills while hitting .464 in a four-game win over No. 14 Pacific to end his collegiate career with 2,075 kills. The 36 kills matched an NCAA season high for a four-game match set by two other players and was one kill shy of the overall NCAA single-match list this year.
