LEXINGTON, Ky. - In a continuing effort to grow, establish and support youth and junior volleyball, the Junior Volleyball Directors Association (JVDA) and Molten have donated all tournament volleyballs from the JVDA Championships that recently took place in late June, in Louisville, Kentucky.

These balls were distributed throughout the state of Kentucky via the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association (KVCA) and will help grade school, middle school, high school and club programs throughout the state of Kentucky.

According to Mitzy Donnhoff, President of the KVCA, "The state of Kentucky had 80 volleyball teams five years ago, today we have 280 varsity volleyball programs. The JVDA Championships ball donation was huge for our organization. We distributed the balls to new middle school programs throughout the state.

"Our mission is to educate all of the new coaches and develop middle school, elementary school, and rural club volleyball teams to feed the varsity programs," she continued. "The donation of the JVDA Championships balls to schools in Louisville, Bowling Green, Owensboro and Eastern Kentucky. Special thanks to the JVDA for helping us introduce more young girls to the great sport of volleyball."

The objectives of the KVCA are:
