Defensively, Ashley Dyer (Junior, Perryton, Texas) led the team in block assists, tallying a career high of eight block assists and tying for tenth in school records for block assists in a match.
"Our offense was effecient and our block was strong," said head coach Tony Graystone. "We didn't manage the second set very well, but we got back in control in sets three and four and played good volleyball. Melissa was good in transition and controlled the net and Laura was unstoppable on the backside. Ashley's job is to block and help protect the serve and she works very hard at that."
The Lady Buffs are on the road next week, traveling to Portales, New Mexico on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 8:00 p.m. to take on Eastern New Mexico for more Lone Star Conference action. WT will then take on East Central University on Thursday, Oct. 30 and Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday, Nov. 1.
