Birmingham Southern Defeats No. 2 Emory, Falls to No. 1 Juniata

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Birmingham-Southern (27-8) volleyball team split on Saturday at the Emory National Challenge to wrap up its season, defeating No. 2 Emory, 3-0, but falling to No. 1 Juniata, 3-2.

The Panthers' 3-0 (25-20, 29-27, 25-18) win over Emory extended its winning streak to 16 matches. Juniors Morgan Anderson and Michelle Maciejewski led with 11 and 10 kills, respectively, and both also hit over .470 for the match. Junior Milica Stojanovic led with 29 assists, and junior Sarah Harris and sophomore Jennifer McKannan led with 11 digs apiece.

Individual set scores and stats were not immediately available for the match against Juniata.

Although the Panthers have finished their season, they will host the annual BSC Alumni match next Saturday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. in Bill Battle Coliseum. It will also be Senior Night for the Panthers.
