LAKELAND, Fla. - The ninth-ranked Moccasins rallied from five-point deficits in sets two and three to down Northwood (Mich.) 25-19, 26-24, 30-28 in their season opener Friday night at Jenkins Field House.

After winning the first set 25-19, FSC trailed 22-17 in set two before a Northwood service error broke a 24-24 tie and Kendall Wilde delivered an ace to win it. In set three the Mocs were down 15-10, but rallied to tie and then fought off four set points before a kill by Wilde and an ace by Danielle Durham clinched the match.

Durham and Danielle Higginbotham led FSC with nine kills each, while Anna Greenwood added seven. Durham had a team-high 13 digs and Courtney Johnson contributed 11.

The Moccasins play two matches at Tampa Saturday, taking on Northern Kentucky at 11 a.m. and #21 Ashland at 3:30 p.m.
