DIII No. 12 Eastern Mennonite Falls to Warner Southern

LAKE WALES, Fla. - Hector Rolle had a team leading 11 kills to lead the Warner University "Royals" over the Eastern Mennonite University "Royals" on Thursday, March 5, in non-conference men's volleyball action from Lake Wales, Fla.

Game scores were 30-23, 30-18, and 30-27.

The loss puts EMU at 10-13 overall on the season. Warner improves to 13-8.

The EMU Royals were paced by freshman Cody Kennedy (Newport News, Va./Menchville) who had a team leading eight kills. Senior libero Cory Parsons (Colmar, Pa./Christopher Dock) registered 11 digs while freshman setter Nolan Prock (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) had 19 assists and two service aces.

Frankie Coto (Miami, Fla./Southwest Miami) had six kills in nine attempts (.556) to go along with four digs.

Matt Gizzi had nine kills and four digs for Warner.

Eastern Mennonite will look for revenge later this week as they take on Warner in a rematch at Lake Sumter Community College at 7 p.m., on Saturday, March 7.
