Kimberly Kvapil, a senior outside hitter for the University of Incarnate Word, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week. Kvapil posted three double-doubles last week, helping the Cardinals remain undefeated in Heartland Conference play.  She began the week in a five-set win over UT Permian Basin knocking down a team-high 14 kills, recording 22 digs, and adding two blocks.  In another five-set thriller, this against Dallas Baptist University, Kvapil tallied match-highs of 25 kills and 17 digs, while hitting a very solid .302.  In the final match of the week, a four-set win over Bentley University, she recorded two more match highs in kills and digs with 13 and 16, respectively, while hitting an efficient .286.  For the week, Kvapil averaged 3.71 kills and 3.93 digs per set, hitting a very respectable .275. Kvapil is first player from Incarnate Word to earn Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week honors.  The Cardinals are coached by Jennifer Montoya.
