Katie Weininger, a senior setter for then-No. 10 Ohio Northern University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week.  Weininger led the Polar Bears to three wins last week, while becoming only the fourth player in team history to top the 4,000-assist mark for her career.  Early in the week against Heidelberg College, Weininger dished out a season-high 55 assists in just four sets, leading her team to a solid .275 hit percentage, while collecting four digs.  Against Mount Union College, she distributed 43 assists in just three sets, guiding the Polar Bears to an impressive .310 hitting percentage.  She narrowly missed a triple-double in those three sets, adding seven kills and seven digs to her team's efforts.  The final match of the weekend was a sweep of Marietta College, where Weininger handed out 32 more assists and tallied six digs, while the team hit .270.  For the week, Weininger averaged 13 assists and nearly two digs per set, leading the Polar Bears to a .285 hitting percentage.  Weininger's honor marks the seventh time a player from Ohio Northern has received the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week, and the second this season.  The Polar Bears are coached by Kate Witte.
