Hannah Segebart, a sophomore setter from Armstrong Atlantic State, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week. She earns the award for her strong play last week in leading the Pirates to the NCAA Southeast Regional title and into the Elite Eight for the first time in school history. In Armstrong Atlantic's first match, a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Lander, Segebart dished out a career-high 70 assists in leading her team to a .279 hitting percentage. She also had seven digs and two block assists. She followed that with a 71-assist performance in a 3-2 win over Lincoln Memorial, and set another career-high mark to become only the second player in Armstrong Atlantic history to score 70-plus assists in two or more matches. She also had four digs, one ace and two block assists. Segebart then led her team to the Southeast Region title in its next match, a sweep of Catawba. In the match, she handed out 44 assist and tallied four digs. For the week, Segebart averaged 13.23 assists and 1.15 digs per set and was named to the NCAA Southeast Region All-Tournament team.
