Team Shatter Wins 2010 Under Armour Volleyball Match

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 18, 2010) - Team Shatter, led by The University of Texas signee Katherine Bell from North Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas, downed Team Swagger 25-20, 26-24, 21-25 to win the 2010 Under Armour All-America Volleyball Match held Saturday at the Sprint Center. The event was held in conjunction with the 2010 AVCA Annual Convention.

 

Bell earned Most Undeniable Player (MVP) honors for Team Shatter hitting .400 for the match with seven kills. She also added five digs, two service aces, two solo blocks and three assisted blocks in the effort.

 

University of Missouri signee Jade Hayes from Ozark High School in Ozark, Mo. was named Most Undeniable Player (MVP) for Team Swagger.  Hayes ended the afternoon with four kills (.429), eight assists, four digs and once ace.

 

The match will be broadcast on national television Monday, December 27 at 8:30 p.m. EST on ESPNU.

Hardest Hitter for Middle Blockers - Katherine Bell, North Mesquite HS, Mesquite, Texas
Best Defender - Alyssa Winner, Marion Local HS, Maria Stein, Ohio
Team Shatter Most Undeniable Player (MVP)  - Katherine Bell, North Mesquite HS, Mesquite, Texas
Team Swagger Most Undeniable Player (MVP) - Jade Hayes, Ozark HS, Ozark, Missouri
