|Paolo Ampudia, a senior outside hitter for the University of Missouri, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week. She earned the award after leading the Tigers to a pair of Big 12 road victories, including a 3-1 upset in Ames of then-No.12 Iowa State. At Colorado, Ampudia recorded 21 kills and 14 digs in the four-set win. In Missouri's next match, Ampudia paced the Tigers with 22 kills and 11 digs as they dropped Iowa State to register their first win over a ranked team in 2010. For the week, the Colombia native averaged 5.69 points and 5.38 kills per set, while accumulating consecutive 20-plus kill efforts for the first time this season. Ampudia's honor marks the fourth time an athlete from the University of Missouri has received the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week award , the last coming Sept. 25, 2006 when Jessica Vander Kooi earned the distinction. The Tigers are coached by Wayne Kreklow.|
