Allison Kerr, a senior middle blocker for California Lutheran University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week. She earned the award after leading the Regals to three Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference wins last week, allowing the squad to maintain a perfect 6-0 mark in league action. Kerr began by torching Occidental for 19 kills, while adding six digs and one ace in the four-set victory. She followed by producing 17 kills, four blocks, four digs and two aces in the Regals' 3-1 defeat of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. She wrapped up the week's action by tallying 14 kills, three digs, two aces and one block in CLU's sweep of Pomona-Pitzer. For the week, Kerr averaged 4.55 kills, 1.18 digs and 5.23 points per set, while hitting at an efficient .489 clip. This marks the first time an athlete from Cal Lutheran has earned Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week accolades. The Regals are coached by Kellee Roesel.
