Matt Scott, a 6-3 setter for Ramapo College has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Men's Division III National Player of the Week. He earned the award for his efforts in spearheading the Roadrunners to two wins last week, including an upset of then-No. 4 Baruch. Scott began the week by distributing 48 assists, in addition to netting eight digs, two blocks, two kills and an ace in Ramapo's sweep of Stevenson. The senior followed by recording 39 assists, six digs, two blocks, one kill and one ace in the Roadrunners' whitewashing of Baruch, a match in which Ramapo hit .417 as a team under Scott's guidance. For the week, Scott averaged 14.50 assists and 2.33 digs per game, while the Roadrunners hit at a combined .416 clip.  This marks first time a Ramapo athlete has been awarded Sports Imports/AVCA Men's Division III National Player of the Week accolades. The Roadrunners are coached by Don Vanderbeck.
