Mike Bunting, a 6-4 junior outside hitter for Loyola University Chicago, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Men's Division I-II National Player of the Week.  Bunting led the Ramblers to a win over IPFW in the first match of the week, but then took a loss at the hands of Stanford in the second match. Against IPFW, Bunting nailed a season-high 31 kills in 49 attempts for an impressive .510 hitting percentage.  He also tallied five digs in the win. Against No.4 Stanford, the Pennsylvania native had 21 kills, and even managed to improve his hitting percentage to an astounding .515.  For the week, Bunting averaged 5.7 kills/set and a .512 hitting percentage.  This is the 10th time a player from Loyola-Chicago has won the AVCA Player of the Week, and it marks the first time since February 1st of last year.  However, this is the first time Bunting has won the honor. The Ramblers are coached by Shane Davis.
