Jonas Umlauft, a 6-9 sophomore opposite for the University of Hawai'i, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Men's Division I-II National Player of the Week.  Umlauft led the Warriors to a pair of wins on the road over then-No.5 Long Beach State University to extend their winning streak to six matches, its longest since 2007.   In the first match, the German native tallied a match-high 22 kills in 55 attempts for a .236 hitting percentage while adding eight digs in the four-set win.  Umlauft added another match-high 22 kill performance while hitting .350 with two serving aces in the second victory, this time a clean sweep of the 49ers.  For the week, he averaged 6.29 kills, 1.71 digs, and 0.43 blocks per set and hit .284.  This is the 16th time a player from the University of Hawai'i has won the AVCA Player of the Week, and is the first for Umlauft.  This is also the program's first Player of the Week honor since Lauri Hakala won it the week of April 17, 2006.  The Warriors are coached by Charlie Wade.
