Kelly Murphy, a senior setter/hitter for then-No. 7 University of Florida, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week. She earned the award after leading the Gators to a sweep over the SEC-rival Mississippi State Bulldogs.  She had a great all-around match recording her 25th career triple-double with 10 kills, 19 assists and 11 digs while also hitting an astounding .500.  It was the 11th time in her career and third time this season she did not commit a single error.  The SEC Offensive Player of the Week helped her team hit .310 in their lone match last week as the Gators are currently ranked first in the SEC in hitting percentage hitting at a .280 clip.  The Illinois native also surpassed her season average in five categories last week (points per set, assists per set, kills per set, hitting percentage, digs per set).  This honor marks the 10th time an athlete from the University of Florida has received the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week award, and Murphy's third. The last time she took home the honor was the week of August 31, 2010.  The Gators are coached by Mary Wise.
