Jenna Schreiver, a junior setter for then- No. 13 Northern Kentucky University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week after leading her team to three victories last week in the GLVC/CLIAC Crossver, with two of them being two AVCA Top-25 teams. After defeating Ashland in four sets recording 40 assists, Schreiver had a game to remember against then-No. 11 Ferris State. She recorded a career-high 17 kills and attacked at a .471 clip while setting 49 assists in the five-set thriller ending Ferris State's 11-match winning streak. The next day against then-No. 25 Northern Michigan, Schreiver directed the offense to a .405 hitting percentage by dishing out 37 assists and hitting .500 with four kills. For the week she averaged 10.5 assists and nearly two kills per set while hitting a robust .391. This is the sixth time in program history a Norse has earned Sports Imports/AVCA Division II Player of the Week honors, with the most recent one coming from their current head coach, Liz Holmes, who won it the week of October 15, 2007.
