LEXINGTON, Ky. (January 7, 2013) - Registration for the 2013 AVCA Spring Conference East/West will open on Monday, January 14 at 8:00 am EST on the AVCA website. The conference, now in its fifth year, is heading from coast to coast with Al Scates and Mike Hebert on back to back weekends. Spring Conference East is scheduled for April 26-28 on the campus of MIT in Boston, Massachusetts, in conjunction with the NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball National Championship. Spring Conference West is scheduled for May 2-4 on the campus of UCLA and the Westin Los Angeles Airport in conjunction with the NCAA Division I-II Men's Volleyball National Championship.
Coming off the record-breaking 2012 Louisville Convention, the AVCA is going bicoastal with their second most popular event. Both Spring Conference events will feature on-court and classroom presentations from our master coaches, Al Scates and Mike Hebert, including an entire day of in-depth analysis on both attacking and program development. Additional sessions will be offered led by renowned coaches from all levels of the game and a networking session will give attendees the opportunity to socialize with peers and top coaches in the sport.
"In studying our demographics we find that our Spring Conferences attract seasoned coaches who really want to dig deep into our sport," said AVCA Executive Director, Kathy DeBoer. "By selecting a critical technical skill in attacking and the CEO-skill of program development, highlighting two recognized experts in Al Scates and Mike Hebert, we are answering that call for more high level education."
For the first time, the AVCA will be offering special group pricing for AVCA members:
- Single Member Early Registration - $239
- Two Members Early Registration - $210 each
- Three or More Members Early Registration - $199 each
A full list of presenters, registration and schedule information and much more for both conferences can be found on the AVCA Spring Conference website beginning Monday, January 14.
