Lauren Plum, a junior setter for the No. 2 University of Oregon Ducks, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week.  The Ducks started off hot in Pac-12 play, winning both matches last week over in-state rival Oregon State and the then-No. 2 team in the country USC.  Against the Beavers in Eugene, Plum tallied 48 assists and seven digs while leading her team to a whopping .368 hitting percentage, which was 64 points higher than the next-best OSU opponent mark of .305 (UCLA).  Two days later they traveled to Los Angeles to play a USC team that saw them knock off then-No.1 UCLA earlier in the week.  The Ducks continued their hot play sweeping through the Trojans with Plum pacing the offense.  The Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week notched another 46 assists, giving three different hitters 8+ kills while hitting over .375.  Also in that match, Plum became just the third Duck setter to reach the 3,000 assist plateau.  The win ended a 21-match losing streak to the Trojans, and it's just the ninth total victory in the history of the series (47-9).  This honor marks the sixth time a student-athlete from Oregon has received the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week award, with this being Plum's second after garnering the award on October 25th of last year.  The Ducks are coached by Jim Moore.
