Jessica Fey, a senior middle hitter for No. 3 Washburn University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week.  Fey had a huge week leading the Lady Blues to three victories, including one over No. 7 Central Missouri.  After hitting .636 with eight kills in the victory at home over Missouri Southern, she accelerated her game to the next level in the next two matches.  At Southwest Baptist, the senior tallied 10 kills hitting .588, this time adding another six digs.  In the final match of the week against Central Missouri, Fey exploded with 29 kills and a .436 hitting percentage.  Those 29 kills were second-most in school history, also becoming just the ninth player in program history to record 1,000 kills and 300 blocks in her distinguished career.  This marks the fourth player from Washburn to earn a Sports Imports/AVCA Division II Player of the Week honor, with the previous coming from Monica Miesner the week of September 16, 2008.  The Lady Blues are coached by Chris Herron.
